Petition to audit the VEA
Declaration
Whereby Valley Electric Association Inc (VEA) is a member owned and controlled 501c12 nonprofit organization and,
whereby the members are seriously concerned about how the monies which are owned by the members are not being fully utilized to ensure the best possible rates and reimbursements back to the members is not being realized, and
whereby under N.R.S. 82.186 (Nevada Revised Statutes) section 1 states:
1. Any director or person authorized in writing by at least 15 percent of the members of the corporation upon at least 5 days’ written demand is entitled to inspect in person or by agent or attorney, during normal business hours, the books of account and all financial records of the corporation and to make extracts therefrom. The right of members and directors to inspect the corporate records may not be limited in the articles or bylaws of any corporation.
We hereby with this petition intend to obtain at least the required signatures to accomplish this forensic audit which has been donated by a person with 30+ years of law enforcement experience specifically doing forensic audits and further the person donating this time is also a member of VEA. This audit will bring to light all information pertaining to the VEA and any and all discrepancies that may arise.
By signing this document I add my name and membership ID in support of the actions to bring a forensic auditor to review, copy and disseminate all information to the members at the completion of the Audit.
